The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
MASK DISPUTE: On April 7, Sgt. Josh Dudley was dispatched to the Vitamin Shop off Epps Bridge Parkway, where a 34-year-old Bishop man would not leave the store after being asked to put on a mask. The deputy asked the man twice to walk outside to discuss his problem, but the man refused, saying that wearing a mask violated his beliefs. The deputy then escorted the man outside and banned him from the store.
WRONG-WAY DRIVER: On April 8, Sgt. Chris Higginbotham was traveling eastbound on Georgia Highway 316 shortly after 1 a.m. when he spotted a Nissan Frontier heading east in the westbound lane. He observed two vehicles change lanes to avoid a crash. The deputy began paralleling the pickup and shining his spotlight at the driver, who stopped in the road. The woman didn’t appear to know where she was and as she exited the vehicle, a marijuana cigarette fell off her lap. She provided a name, which at the jail pr
when i did see the video a couple of days ago, it s kind of difficult to watch yourself go down and then lay motionless on the ice. the gratitude comes from how fast this guy responded. he was fortunate for a number of reasons. for one thing, one of his playing partners with craig bryant, who happens to be an e.r. doctor started giving him cpr immediately. others skated for the rink s defibrillator. they grabbed that, and after a few minutes he began a slow recovery. one month later, he thanked the doctor for saving his life. the gratitude comes from how fast this guy responded. this is my guardian angel.
