Kieran Hobbs denies manslaughter of Sagar Bhatti

Police at the scene of the accident in Sagar Bhatti (inset) was killed. A MAN accused of manslaughter following a fatal road accident has denied being responsible for the victim s death. Kieran Hobbs is accused of killing Sagar Bhatti, who was hit by two cars as he lay in Woodside Avenue, Eastleigh, in March 2019. Hobbs, 31, was initially arrested on suspicion of murder and was interviewed by police the day after the accident. John Price, prosecuting, read out a transcript of the interview, during which Hobbs denied murdering Mr Bhatti, 23, or being responsible for his death. He said he returned home at around 5am, half-an-hour before the accident, and knew nothing of Mr Bhatti s death until police arrived at his house.

Josh Dudley was dispatched to the Vitamin Shop off Epps Bridge Parkway, where a 34-year-old Bishop man would not leave the store after being asked to put on a mask. The deputy asked the man twice to walk outside to discuss his problem, but the man refused, saying that wearing a mask violated his beliefs. The deputy then escorted the man outside and banned him from the store. WRONG-WAY DRIVER: On April 8, Sgt. Chris Higginbotham was traveling eastbound on Georgia Highway 316 shortly after 1 a.m. when he spotted a Nissan Frontier heading east in the westbound lane. He observed two vehicles change lanes to avoid a crash. The deputy began paralleling the pickup and shining his spotlight at the driver, who stopped in the road.
