According to the mall’s website, the mall and its outparcels currently contain 47 tenants.
When the mall opened in 1976, it had 54 stores. But in recent years the shopping center lost several anchor stores such as Belk, Sears and JCPenney.
The new, 229-unit Renaissance Santa Rosa Apartments development stands in the old Belk space on the mall’s northwest side.
Barrett noted that he, Nabors and NBI Properties’ marketing manager Jennifer Stapleton are natives of Fort Walton Beach and spearheaded the ongoing revival of its downtown.
“Downtown Fort Walton Beach was a ghost town about 10 years ago,” Barrett said. “Now, you often can’t find a parking space there. We’ll use that same energy and passion to build up the mall. For us, (property management) is our business, but it’s also our passion. We want to see the mall thriving like it used to be. It’s going to be a place where all families can go and have fun.”

SOMERVILLE and Pines finished all square after an epic encounter on Saturday.
After losing the toss, Somerville were sent in to bat first. Good knocks from opener Craig Black and number four Bradley McDonald helped guide the side to a final total of 143.
Pines’ run chase started poorly, with usually reliable openers Damien Lawrence and Ricky Ramsdale dismissed for scores of 11 and zero respectively.
Harley Peace-Stirling came in after the openers and got things back on track. After a duck in his innings last week against Flinders, Peace-Stirling was out to make amends. The first drop batsman blasted 66 runs.

Robert Noyce,
Gordon Moore,
Andy Grove; these were effectively the three technologist founders of Intel in 1968 and were CEOs in turn. Seen with the benefit of hindsight it may seem like they did no wrong. They, of course, helped drive the creation of the semiconductor industry with Intel as its leading company but there were some strange and unsuccessful diversions into ventures such as LED wristwatches.
Then in 1998 another engineer,
Craig Barrett, took the helm. Barrett had been responsible for the copy-exact strategy that had let Intel increase manufacturing capacity to meet rapidly increasing demand for microprocessors for personal computers.
