Two cattle transporters alleged that they were attacked by Hindutva extremists led by Kerehalli on March 20 near Electronic City in Bengaluru. However, they filed a complaint only after Kerehalli was arrested in the alleged murder of another cattle transporter.
The information was passed on to the police by "gau-rakshaks" (cow vigilantes), following which the cops carried out raids in the house in the Sabri Nagar area at Ved road, said Chowk Bazaar police inspector R B Asura.

Idris Pasha, 39, was found dead on the morning after his truck was stopped by a gang of five cow vigilantes led by self-styled Hindutva activist Puneeth Kerehalli near Sathnur town in the Ramanagara district of Karnataka around 11.40 pm on March 31.
