Bicycle Girl Jyoti s Father Dies

Jun 01, 2021, 12:46 IST The Bihar girl who became famous as the ‘Cycle girl’ for riding a long distance to save her father, lost him recently. Mohan Paswan, the father passed away on Monday after suffering a cardiac arrest at his village in Darbhanga district. After the death was confirmed, the DM Darbhanga Dr SM Tyagarajan confirmed it. They sent help for the last rites to be done. Homage was paid to the father in Sirhulli village. Jyoti Kumari, the 13-year-old daughter of Paswan received appreciation and accolades after she rode a bicycle for a long distance to bring her father from Gurugram to Darbhanga. When the lockdown was announced last year, the girl decided to bring her father home as she didn’t want to be stranded at an unknown place.
