And its right it was hard to miss it 30 foot tall statue here right behind me and now its replaced with a sign from the city the city letting people know this morning why they decided to remove that statue again were going to show you what it looks like here before it was removed. You can see this sir Francis Drake statue it had been here for many years i talked to residents in the area this morning. We were confused as to why was in here this morning. They are so used to seeing on their morning jog. Now people have been calling for the removal of the metal statue for weeks protesters said they wanted the statue gone because sir Francis Drake was a slave trader. Now theres a sign left by the city like i mention that says they temporarily remove the statue in response to demonstrators saying they were going to remove the statue them sales and so the city wanted to make sure they removed it before that happened now a petition on change dot org had rec
