A medic administers the first dose of Covishield vaccine to Madhura Patil in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, after the virtual launch of COVID-19 vaccination drive by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at BKC vaccination unit in Mumbai.
The COVID-19 vaccination drive has been temporarily suspended till January 18 in the entire state of Maharashtra due to technical issues with Co-WIN application, informed the State Health Department.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray flagged off the much-anticipated Coronavirus vaccination drive, terming it as a revolutionary step , even as thousands of eligible people queued up for their life-saver jab across the state.
