Delhi: Huge Consignment of Oxygen Concentrators Arrive From China May 17, 2021, 15:07 IST
In the midst of India s Covid-19 crisis, the largest-ever single consignment of oxygen concentrators arrived in New Delhi on Sunday afternoon, setting a new record. A Boeing 747-400 wide-body aircraft delivered more than 3,600 oxygen concentrators weighing approximately 100 tonnes from Hangzhou Airport in China. The jumbo charter landed at Delhi airport at 3:18 pm on Sunday, said Jaspreet Singh, National Sales Head at Bollore Logistics India.
This import was carried out by Bollore Logistics India, a multinational transport and logistics company. They overcame complex logistical challenges by collaborating with the Indian Embassy in Beijing to put the plan in place. New Delhi: Pyare Khan, a transport business owner from Maharashtra’s Nagpur, spent Rs 85 lakh for supplying medical oxygen to hospitals.
Khan, who once used to sell oranges, has supplied 400 metric tonnes of oxygen in the city so far.

Social media posts demanding the Resignation of Prime Minister Modi were blocked by Facebook for several hours on Wednesday. The overall 12,000 posts had demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi resign from his post due to his irresponsibility over second wave COVID-19 in the country.
Several users who were searching the hashtag #ResignModi on social media were flashed with a notice saying that such posts had been temporarily hidden here as some content in those posts went against the website s Community Standards.
Responding to a tweet showing the hidden posts, Facebook’s Policy Communications Director Andy Stone said that Facebook had hidden the posts by mistake and was restoring them.

Vital medical equipments are on its way from UK to India, tweets UK Prime Minister
US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), a not for profit institution, on Sunday said that it was working on several fronts to assist citizens of India during the current Covid crisis.
Detailing the measures that are on the anvil, USISPF said in a statement that India will soon receive at least a dozen ISO containers that will help transport oxygen within the country. These containers are being shipped or airlifted from different parts of Asia. Another dozen containers have already been identified for shipment to India and efforts are on to triple this number.
