Bharat Biotech announces price of Covaxin - Rs 600 for states, Rs 1200 for private hospitals
The vaccine manufacturer stated that Covaxin will be also be exported and the export price would be between USD 15-20 (Rs 1,123 to Rs 1,498 approx).

Covaxin, the indigenous vaccine against COVID-19 will be available for state governments at Rs 600 per dose and private hospitals at Rs 1,200 per dose, Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech announced on Saturday. Indigenously-developed Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin, made by Bharat Biotech, neutralises multiple variants of SARS-CoV-2 and effectively neutralises the double mutant strain as well, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said on Wednesday. Paying tributes to India, Vietnam s envoy to India Pham Sanh Chau has got the first dose of Indian vaccine Covaxin. Covaxin is an Indian vaccine made by Bharat biotech, headquartered in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad. He got vaccinated at Delhi s Dr Ram Manohar Lohia hospital.
Speaking to WION after getting the first jab, Chau said, I took the decision to come to a government hospital to take my first jab of Covaxin vaccine. Why I decided to take Covaxin because I believe that it is a very good vaccine and it will be safer.
