Marshall County Sheriff Matthew Hassel is proud to announce the hiring of a new deputy. Evan Ash lives in Bourbon with his wife Nichole and one stepson. He attended Greenfield High School and in 2008 graduated through homeschooling. Evan is 29 years old and was previously employed at Kountry Wood Products as a cabinet builder.

During Monday’s County Commissioner meeting they handled a variety of issues. Janis Holiday from Older Adult Services presented the reimbursement claim for the new bus they received last week. The claim to be submitted to INDOT was in the amount of $105,500 and the total cost for the bus was $117,000. Holiday told the commissioners,
