Though some members of Snowmass Village Town Council said they found Krabloonik Dog Sledding to be in default on its lease with the town at an April 11 work session, it will likely require a council vote for the default to become official and final, according to Town Manager Clint Kinney.
In an effort to mitigate the impacts of short-term rentals on long-term occupants, Snowmass Village Town Council spent much of a March 21 meeting mulling over how the town might regulate the duration and frequency of short-term stays in some residential units.
Danny Phillips, who co-owns Krabloonik Dog Sledding with Gina Phillips, maintains he was not aware that a Best Practices Plan would become a part of their lease with the town when Krabloonik’s owners met with town officials and created the plan by mutual agreement in 2015.
