The Edmonds City Council Tuesday night agreed with a city staff recommendation to contract with a human services agency to provide a social worker rather than hire an employee to do the work.
Councilmembers also began going through amendments to the city’s just-passed tree code, although ran out of time and agreed to continue the effort at a later date. How the City of Edmonds should manage its tree canopy and protect its existing urban forests was the topic of conversation Tuesday night as the Edmonds City Council began diving into the details of draft tree code regulations.
