We worked really hard to work on a variety of bill from understanding critical policies and weve worked hard for the due process and workers rights. We know how important city college is to immigrant community. And we needed to convey how important to keep city college open its a lifeline for immigrant and what they contributed to San Francisco. Were concerned about the impact of the Affordable Health care and theres also some day to day issues like drivers license issues and, you know, local Law Enforcement issues making sure that the Language Access is there for all our community. Weve done good Due Diligence and really understanding the issues but most important to make you all aware of whats important in the immigrant community youve having had a a lot of collective issues have you done any advocacy on the National Level as we continue to push for immigration. Im not an immigrant im a fourth generation san franciscan and lived most of my life in district 8 and a raise my kids here and work as a culture anthropologists my expertise is sense s. P. C. A. I know the restoration intent and therefore have the background necessary to understand how this complex building should be agriculturely maintained. I was a liaison nor the engineering firms to meetings within willie brown and couped the mayor. I worked on the prestige of the San Francisco project i helped in the lashgd process. I worked on the Hampton Building restoration and was the personal recipient of an American Institute of nra for work on the building as well as a preservation award. My Community Efforts on behalf of the fostering and understanding civil rights and stopping hate crimes in the Pink Triangle on twin peaks and supervisor cowen has been to three of those events. [ applause ] and ladies and gentlemen, you may or may not know this, but ruth groboski has been really leading the work with the Parent Advisory Council but we would like to thank her for eight years of service to the council she has been a phenomenal advocate for the families in the sfusd. And we look forward to her work as we go forward and she is going to be one of us and she is going to join sfusd and given her contributions we are fortunate to have her join us in our district work.
