Mojácar s Valentine s Day Photo Competition - The Leader Newspaper

The Leader Newspaper With Valentine’s Day coming up on February 14 th, Mojácar Council’s Culture Department has put together a romantic themed photography competition which is open to everyone, whether they are from the town or not. The slogan, “Desde casa con amor, un San Valentín diferente,” sends out love from the home for a different Valentine’s Day this year and Raquel Belmonte, who heads the Culture Department, hopes that the townspeople and friends of Mojácar will “celebrate the day of love and friendship with them.” To enter, you simply have to send your chosen romantic photo to the email culturamojacar@gmail.com or to the WhatsApp number 677959093 and the deadline for admissions is February 11

MOJÁCAR COUNCIL ORGANIZES MORE CULTURAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE TOWN S SCHOOLS

The Leader Newspaper DANZA MOBILE EN MOJACAR Foto Mojácar Council’s Culture Department is continuing with its plan to support culture and bring related events to the town’s youngsters, with the organization of two more cultural activities at the Rey Alabez Institute and the Bartolomé Flores School. The Rey Alabez Secondary pupils were given a dance workshop, created by the company Danza Mobile, in collaboration with the Junta de Andalucía.  Danza Mobile was set up in 2001, quickly becoming a benchmark in the contemporary dance world, both on the national and international stage. Importantly made up from dancers with Down’s syndrome, with more than 60 professionals from the world of performing arts, the company offers continuous training to performers at their Creation Centre.

The Leader Newspaper On Sunday, December 13 th, at 12.30 p.m. in the Plaza del Fronton, the flamenco singer “Zarrita” will be presenting his show, “Cante y Purza 2020”, accompanied on guitar by David Delgado, “El Niño de la Fragua.” Ezequiel Pasamontes, known as “Zarrita”, is the nephew of Niño de Alora and is self-taught.  He has enjoyed a stage career stretching more than 20 years, performing in numerous diverse, successful musical projects and is one of the most renowned voices on the current music scene. Although his sound always maintains the essence of flamenco, his musical skills are multifaceted, as he moves effortlessly from style to style, be it jazz or boleros, amongst others.  In 2014, Fox used his song “Me Basta” as the soundtrack to promote the television series “Grey’s Anatomy” and the following year, he presented his album “Camino al Sur.”  In 2016, he was a participant in Tele5’s “La
