MAPA’s Board of Directors voted to hire Helgerson as executive director after an eight-year career at the agency where he began as a transportation planner and is currently the transportation and data manager. Helgerson will assume the role July 26 and will succeed Greg Youell, who is leaving MAPA for a position with Spirit Catholic Radio Network. He currently heads several critical projects at MAPA and leads a team of transportation planning professionals.
