MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) A 76-year-old man was killed when the vehicle he was driving struck a tree in western Wisconsin Tuesday morning.
According to the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, another driver reported a vehicle in a ditch at Tower Road and Coulee Trail in Troy Township just before 6 a.m. Tuesday.
The sheriff’s office said Derwin Robey of River Falls, Wisconsin, was driving westbound on Tower Road, crossed over Coulee Trail, went into the ditch and hit a tree.

A motorist reported a vehicle in a ditch near Tower and Coulee Trail roads in Troy Township around 6 a.m. Tuesday, but did not witness the incident.
Authorities say it s likely the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene, slid into a ditch while crossing Coulee Trail and crashed into a tree. He also was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the St. Croix County Sheriff s Office.

A 76-year-old man died after a crash Tuesday morning in western Wisconsin.
The St. Croix County Sheriff s Office said it received a report of a vehicle in a ditch near the intersection of Tower Road and Coulee Trail in Troy Township at 5:58 a.m. Deputies responded and found the driver, the lone person in the vehicle, already dead.
He was identified as Derwin A. Robey, of River Falls.
According to the sheriff s office, Robey was westbound on Tower Road in a 2001 Ford Taurus when his car crossed over Coulee Trail, entered the ditch and struck a tree.
