MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) A 76-year-old man was killed when the vehicle he was driving struck a tree in western Wisconsin Tuesday morning.
According to the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, another driver reported a vehicle in a ditch at Tower Road and Coulee Trail in Troy Township just before 6 a.m. Tuesday.
The sheriff’s office said Derwin Robey of River Falls, Wisconsin, was driving westbound on Tower Road, crossed over Coulee Trail, went into the ditch and hit a tree.

A motorist reported a vehicle in a ditch near Tower and Coulee Trail roads in Troy Township around 6 a.m. Tuesday, but did not witness the incident.
Authorities say it s likely the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene, slid into a ditch while crossing Coulee Trail and crashed into a tree. He also was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the St. Croix County Sheriff s Office.
Driver killed after car hits tree in western Wisconsin

TROY TOWNSHIP, Wis. (FOX 9) - A 76-year-old man driver died in a crash in western Wisconsin Tuesday morning.
Around 6 a.m., dispatch received a call from a driver reporting a vehicle that was in the ditch at the intersection of Tower and Coulee roads in Troy Township, according to the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the scene and located the 2001 Ford Taurus with the driver, the lone occupant of the car, dead in the front seat. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
