Neil Tague Rowland Homes has acquired a 13-acre site in Cottam Hall, Preston from Homes England, having secured consent to develop 138 homes. The housebuilder has started access works to facilitate the construction of homes on the development, called Sandpiper Grange. This is Leyland-based Rowland’s second acquisition from Homes England this year, having been appointed onto the organisation’s delivery partner panel in 2017. Homes England obtained outline permission for the wider Cottam Hall site – the part of the Preston area that is taking on much of the city’s housing delivery – in 2012 for 1,100 homes and associated development including play areas, open space provision and infrastructure including footpaths and cycle routes.
