Alison Chemla, founder of fine jewelry brand Alison Lou, opened a seasonal store in the Hamptons this past summer for her popular collection, known for its innovative enamel and lucite styles.
Now the jewelry entrepreneur has debuted a permanent boutique on New York City’s Upper East Side, at 22 E. 65th St. The showroom is on the building’s fifth floor, so clients shop by appointment. But seemingly no expense was spared in its sumptuous, maximalist design and beautiful build-out. Chemla tapped good friend and interior designer Sasha Bikoff to transform the roughly 400 square feet of raw space into an elegantly quirky showroom accented with signature Alison Lou pink, lipstick red, and gold. “The walls are gold and the cases are the colors,” Chemla notes, “so the showroom feels like one of my pieces of jewelry.”
