Local coronavirus numbers updated
COSHOCTON - The Coshocton County Unified Command as of 9 a.m. Wednesday reported 2,288 confirmed cases and 314 probable cases of COVID-19 in Coshocton County for a total number of 2,602 since the start of the pandemic. That s up 27 cases since last Wednesday.
There have been 2,505 recoveries and 57 deaths. There are 40 active cases in isolation, 26 people in quarantine and two current hospitalizations.
Of surrounding counties on Wednesday morning, Guernsey had 3,023, Holmes had 2,494, Knox had 4,285, Licking had 15,865, Muskingum had 8,568 and Tuscarawas had 8,286. The seven county total is 25,123 cases since the start of the pandemic.

Many coming into Coshocton County for coronavirus vaccines
Coshocton County has had about 16% of the total population get the coronavirus vaccine.
More than half of those 70 and older having received it. Blacks are at 11%, Asians at 7.5% and Hispanics at 7%.
Of those getting the vaccine, people have come from 32 Ohio counties and two states.
Of Ohio counties, the most represented outside Coshocton were Tuscarawas, Muskingum and Holmes.
COSHOCTON – The community COVID-19 vaccination clinic ran through the Coshocton County Unified Command has seen people from several different counties come to this community for vaccinations, and even two from out of state.
Coshocton County Health Commissioner Steve Lonsinger said about 70 percent of people coming to the community clinic are Coshocton County residents. Lonsinger said he doesn’t know the percentage of Coshocton residents getting the vaccine elsewhere as reports don t specify. However of those registered here, about 16%, or 49
