San Antonio Airport put on lockdown after officer-involved shooting
San Antonio International Airport was put on lockdown Thursday afternoon following an officer-involved shooting, according to a tweet from police.
“There is no active threat to the public,” San Antonio Police tweeted.
No other injuries were reported, and no police officers were hurt, Officer Cory Schuler told CNN.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas An attempted mass shooting outside the San Antonio International Airport on Thursday was prevented by a parks officer working overtime, police said.
The shooter was driving in the wrong direction on an airport roadway when the officer who is not being named stopped him outside Terminal B, police said. The officer who stopped this saved a lot of lives, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said during a news conference Thursday afternoon.
The shooter who has not been identified had a full box of ammunition, according to McManus. He had a .45 caliber handgun that he was shooting in the direction of the terminal, at the police officer and behind him, indiscriminately.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner s Office has now identified both people found dead from an apparent murder-suicide inside a North Side home last week.
Officials said Azucena Nelson, 49, and Todd Owen Hafer, 53, were found dead in the residence in the 2000 block of Chittim Trail Drive. The medical examiner listed Nelson s manner of death as a homicide from a gunshot wound to the head and Hafer s was listed as a suicide from a gunshot wound to the head.
San Antonio police were called to the home on April 6 at around 4 p.m. after a family friend requested a welfare check on the couple. He had spoken to the couple two or three days prior but hadn t heard from them since.

A man and woman who had not been heard from for at least two days were found dead inside a North Side home Tuesday.
The two, who were between 40 and 50 years old, were discovered about 4 p.m. in the 2000 block of Chittim Trail Drive, San Antonio police said.
