Officials ID 2 people found dead from apparent murder-suicide in North Side home

The Bexar County Medical Examiner s Office has now identified both people found dead from an apparent murder-suicide inside a North Side home last week.
Officials said Azucena Nelson, 49, and Todd Owen Hafer, 53, were found dead in the residence in the 2000 block of Chittim Trail Drive. The medical examiner listed Nelson s manner of death as a homicide from a gunshot wound to the head and Hafer s was listed as a suicide from a gunshot wound to the head.
San Antonio police were called to the home on April 6 at around 4 p.m. after a family friend requested a welfare check on the couple. He had spoken to the couple two or three days prior but hadn t heard from them since.

A man and woman who had not been heard from for at least two days were found dead inside a North Side home Tuesday.
The two, who were between 40 and 50 years old, were discovered about 4 p.m. in the 2000 block of Chittim Trail Drive, San Antonio police said.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner s Office has identified one of the two people found dead inside a North Side home Tuesday afternoon.
Officials said 53-year-old Todd Owen Hafer was found dead in the residence in the 2000 block of Chittim Trail Drive, though no cause of death has been listed. The second person, a 49-year-old woman, has not been identified.
