I am Nicole Austen hillary and i have the privilege and honor of serving as the president and ceo of the Congressional Black Caucus foundation. I am happy to see all of you here this morning. It tells me that our theme this year of securing our democracy, protecting our freedoms, and uplifting our culture got through to everyone. You all are here to get down to business, so thank you. This is especially compelling year for us. We know that every year, we have challenges and work to do for the black community. But this year, because of deeply threatening times that we are in, we know that despite the fact this is the oldest democracy on the planet, we have some majo
Its got to be much more subtle than that. It got to be about helping each side see where there might be limited areas where they could work together. Im not the great believer in the grand bargain. Now sit down and have a discussion about every in. It is unlikely to be good but they will be some areas where people have quite significant differences and nonetheless have it limited junior level of communication which delivers from a practical benefit to both sides. We will obviously return in some detail of course and the next session. The secretary has made it very clear [inaudible] there is a general concern that we seem to lack a strategy on the full spectrum response with their business is taking them on when it comes to do social media before we even get into iraq with the iraq ema to make significant programs and indeed perhaps a more direct relationship with the kurds in trying to combat. The putting all that aside can you tell us what you would hope to achieve from participation
In venezuela. I do not think it is fair, what has happened the past few months in a country, that you have had the majority of venezuelans protesting, demanding change, demanding free and fair elections, and they have been received by the National Guard and police with tear gas, with rubber bullets, and sometimes with regular bullets, would shotguns. More than 120 people have been killed. And according to the attorney general, she has said that more than 90 of those who have been killed our opposition protesters. Especially young people between 20 and 30. So there has been violence in venezuela, we condemn all violence. I do not think it is fairto all violence. I do not think it is fair to say that it has been on both sides. There is one side that has insisted on protesting peacefully, and every time that the police or National Guard appear, it ends with people being killed. The crane operator was off latimer avenue. And our reporter is on the scene. They are working to get the crane off at home right now. Here we are 10 hours after it happened. Let me show you what this looks like now. They had used these large cranes to get the wheels of this crane back on the pavement. The arm is still extended over the homes. They are working to retract that safely and get it pulled away from this residence. It has been busy out here as they try to make sure everyone is safe as they do this recovery effort. Then for the residents, this was a very close call. The crane was fully extended, 190 feet in the air. Suddenly it toppled over before noon on tuesday, crashing down on a house and several other structures. We could hear a loud crash. Something i had never heard before. It reached a house and a storage shed one street over, they were surprised to see it had collapsed, and a narrow escape, fade in their favor today. I just thought of all of the damage. It was suppose
Here is a huge fog bank Holding Court out there, if you will. It made a huge surge inland. Inland temps will cool down. That is enhancing the fog. Thunderstorms pop up in the afternoon over the higher terrain as well. There is a decent delta breeze. It has been up to 30 Miles Per Hour. It is tailing off a little bit. Low clouds are make thanksgiving out to the strait making it out to the strait. A lot of 50s here. Theres not a big difference on a lot of the temps but a bigger fog bank today. Might be a slow process if at all to get the fog to burn off for parts of the coast today. Youre stuck in the 60s there. 60s and 70s inland. Sal, i Pay Attention but i havent heard anything big yet.
