Let me show you what this looks like now. They had used these large cranes to get the wheels of this crane back on the pavement. The arm is still extended over the homes. They are working to retract that safely and get it pulled away from this residence. It has been busy out here as they try to make sure everyone is safe as they do this recovery effort. Then for the residents, this was a very close call. The crane was fully extended, 190 feet in the air. Suddenly it toppled over before noon on tuesday, crashing down on a house and several other structures. We could hear a loud crash. Something i had never heard before. It reached a house and a storage shed one street over, they were surprised to see it had collapsed, and a narrow escape, fade in their favor today. I just thought of all of the damage. It was supposed to be a routine job. They were replacing telephone poles and power poles in the area. There were no injuries. The damage limited to one house and a pair of sheds. We are working to make sure they are safe. They said it was an equipment malfunction. It wasnt the operator. And no one got hurt. They have two cases on the company with a subsidiary company. One case involved an accident at an airfield. They are working on a request for the records and citations. And another case from the coast guard islands, open and under investigation. And i will did reach out to both companies, they did not comment at this time. There have been investigators sent out to oversee and look into this accident. We are expecting to get more information tomorrow. They dont know how long it will take, currently they have kept this road closed. A lot of neighbors are watching. They mentioned it tonight, they had that train lifted. And have they mentioned the unforeseen challenges . One of the issues is just safety. They are dealing with a very long arm for that crane. It is a concern as they do not wish for it to collapse again. They do have a pulley system that is looped around that crane. They are trying to support the arm of the crane as they get it retracted. Officers were thinning out through south San Francisco. The agents with alcohol, tobacco and firearms and several Police Departments joint. They set up a command center here. Sources tell us that this is a joint investigation with local Law Enforcement from San Francisco and from san mateo countys. A warning in south it is from and as agents served warrants on a pair of homes on eucalyptus. Neighbors were awakened by a loud noise. I heard the sound of a percussion grenade. A man in his 30s with school age boys in one of those homes, there has been a constant stream of young individuals coming and going. They have been smoking pot. People will go over to the side of the house and someone will hand something down to them. And then they will leave. Police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed the owner of a san jose liquor store. The mast gunman rushed into the store while the owner was taking a a nap. The armed man demanded money and leave woke up during the competition and refused to open the register and the gunmen shot him. He is so tough. He is not going to back down at all.
