Im interested to hear your thoughts on their relationship after the war, personal relationship and especially the fact that sherman advised grant not to enter politics at all. We know shermans own view of president ial politics. Can you shed some light on that and how it affected grant at all, or what counsel sherman may have given him . Thats a good question. Sherman was completely i shouldnt say a political. He was antipolitical. He hated the whole game of politics and didnt want to get involved.
