GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. The driver of an overturned van in a Gwinnett County crash on Saturday that killed six people has been charged and also has an outstanding warrant in another county, according to authorities.
Gwinnett County Jail records show that 32-year-old Monica Elizabeth Manire has been charged with six counts of first degree vehicular homicide and four counts of serious injury by a vehicle.
There is also a hold on Manire s record out of Houston County, 11Alive s Joe Henke reports. The hold means she was already wanted by authorities in Houston County at the time of the crash.

Flynn said GCPD investigators had interviewed survivors and witnesses of the crash and now believe that Manire made a
‘reckless’ last second lane change from I-85 to I-985 on Saturday night, causing the van to flipped with 16 people inside.

‘We are going to look into whether or not the van was overloaded, either at capacity for people or capacity for weight,’ Flynn said.

A shooting on Interstate 85 in suburban Atlanta has claimed the life of a rising Texas rap artist, one of two interstate shootings in the metro area within an hour, authorities said Saturday.
Rapper Corey Detiege, who performed under the stage name Chucky Trill, died at an area hospital after Friday’s predawn shooting, police in suburban Gwinnett County said.
Police Corporal Collin Flynn, a department spokesman, said someone pulled up beside Detiege’s car and opened fire around 3 a.m. Friday, WSB TV reported. Ditiege, 33, was from Sugar Land, Texas.

Atlanta experienced its fourth deadly interstate shooting this year after Houston rapper Chucky Trill was gunned down Friday morning.
The 33-year-old was shot on Interstate 85 after attending an Erica Banks show at a local club. The northbound lanes of I-85 were closed for over two hours as Gwinnett County police investigated the scene. Investigators believe the shots came from another vehicle. Not only do you have the two vehicles involved in the shooting, but you also have multiple people that are driving on the interstate that could also be victims in these types of crimes.
