Israel has vaccinated over 50,000 people in the first week of its operation to inoculate workers from the Palestinian Authority (PA) who work in Israel against the coronavirus.
The operation, which commenced Monday, is being led by the IDF’s Central Command, the IDF’s Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the Ministry of Health, and the Crossings Authority. It includes the establishment of dedicated vaccination complexes at several crossings and in industrial areas throughout the PA-run areas of Judea and Samaria.

With Israel’s remarkable success at vaccinating the majority of its population and dramatically reducing the spread of the coronavirus, many social restrictions have been lifted, allowing the population to return to normal life.

For a group of 60 physically disabled adults, the recent relaxation of coronavirus restrictions meant that they could go out of their rehabilitative residence as a group for the first time in nearly a year.
The outing, arranged for the residents of the Grabski and Finger Centers for Multiple Sclerosis, operated by Colel Chabad, was described by the organizers as a “first taste of freedom after what has been an extremely challenging few months.”

The Economist and the firm YouGov, with views of the relationship skewing somewhat along partisan and gender lines.
Asked whether a number of countries were allies, friendly, unfriendly or enemies with the United States, two-thirds of those surveyed saw US-Israel ties positively.
Forty percent of respondents considered Israel a US “ally,” with another 27% calling Israel a “friendly” nation; 14% said Israel was either an “enemy” or “unfriendly,” with 20% unsure.
