Illinois bird-watchers gets shot of titmouse plucking woodchuck s fur

PEORIA  In a rare confrontation at a backyard feeder, a nut-gobbling groundhog bristled at the sudden arrival of a nervy freeloader.  A tufted titmouse had just landed on the chubby rodent’s tail to pluck fur for its nest, as the species is wont to do. But the groundhog turned perturbed, apparently uncomfortable with either its tail or meal being disturbed.   The mini-drama caught the eye of Julie Dodge, who often observes wildlife through her home’s rear picture window. The critters’ contretemps  which (spoiler alert!) soon turned amicable for both species  allowed Dodge the opportunity to snap a photo that has been delighting hundreds of local bird-watchers:
