Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against City Over Speed Camera
The controversy surrounding the City of Buffalo Schol Zome Camera program is increasing with this latest development.
According to reporting by WKBW, there is now a class-action lawsuit against the City of Buffalo which is challenging whether these speed cameras are in-fact against the constitution.
The lawsuit stems from the location of one camera in particular in the University area of Buffalo. On Bailey Avenue, near the corner of Amherst Street, there is are two cameras monitoring that corner. However, according to a member of the city council, there aren t any schools on Bailey Avenue. That section of Bailey Avenue saw the largest amount of vehicle traffic in the month of February according to City of Buffalo traffic data.
