Construction begins on Coppid Beech park and ride CONSTRUCTION on a brand new park and ride on the Wokingham-Bracknell border has begun this week. Coppid Beech Park and Ride, Wokingham, has cost the Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) £3 million to build, and will hold 250 spaces for residents to park. A member of staff at Haart Estate Agents, on High Street, Bracknell, decided to get into contact with local charity Single Parents Support and Advice Services (SPSAS), a charity providing aid and support to struggling single parents. Kassandra Hopkins, member of staff for Haart Estate Agents Bracknell and organiser of the new space for SPSAS, said: We have a food collection drop-off for families. We have storage boxes that sit in our window where any member of the public can drop off food, with social distancing in mind.

Park and ride developments to come to Winnersh and Wokingham

NEARLY £10 million is to be spent on constructing a new park and ride, as well as expanding another, in the Wokingham borough. The council announced the plans to build a new Park and Ride at Coppid Beech Park and Ride in Wokingham, as well as construction of a second deck of parking spaces to the site at Winnersh Triangle on Friday, January 22. Work to build on the two sites is set to begin in February - overall, the construction of the new park and ride space on Coppid Beech is expected to cost about £3 million, and the extension on the Winnersh Triangle Park and Ride, Winnersh, is expected to cost a further £6.8 million.
