A FITNESS centre is set to host its first-ever Boxing Day treat, while helping one very worthy cause. On Saturday, Copeland Pool and Fitness Centre will be opening its doors for a Boxing Day Dip – collecting donations for the New Life Church Food Bank throughout the event. The focus will be on the collection of tins and packaged foods, along with unwanted Christmas gifts and toys, which will be distributed to children’s and care homes. Items can be dropped off safely at a Covid-secure point within the leisure centre, which has separate entry and exit points and does not disrupt any existing one-way systems.
