The parkway. Breaking news in Prince Georges County, right now. Police are still on the scene of a fatal accident thats shut down part of suitland parkway at naylor road. Derrick ward is live near the scene now for the latest details. Derek derrick, good morning. Reporter yeah, you dont normally associate the suitland parkway with pedestrian traffic. This is the scene of a fatal incident. It remains closed. Suitland parkway is closed between alabama and branch avenue. It was about midnight when an adult male was crossing here at naylor road when he was hit background a car heading westbound, that is into the district. That person has since died. They dont have an identity yet. They have held the scene. Accident reconstruction crews are on the scene and traffic is shut down in both directions. You will likely have to work your way through the neigh avenue, alabama avenue. We dont have any word how long this will remain closed and how long this investigation will continue, but again adul
