Lycoming County commissioners claim mistakes resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars and unsuccessful attempts to correct issues left them with little choice but to transfer several employees out of the Controllers office.
The vote by each of the commissioners as members of the county salary board is not occurring without a fight from Controller Krista Rogers who has accused them of violating county code.
In a recent interview with the Sun-Gazette, commissioners cited errors with payroll, billing and other problems in the Controller’s office.
They claim they tried to work with Rogers to remedy matters before each voting recently to transfer the four employees to the office of budget and finance.
