GUWAHATI: The All Assam NHM Para-Medical Employees Union demanded that all the employees working under National Health Mission (NHM) as contractual employees in this COVID pandemic should get double the salary.
Further, in a statement to the state government the Union s sectary Mofidul Islam alleged said that since 2006 under the NHM, Assam around 22,000 contractual employees are working without getting any benefits as compared to other state government employees along with the early hike in salaries.

MG Motor India today commenced a free Covid-19 vaccination drive for its employees. The vaccination programme will also cover all direct contractual employees of the automobile manufacturer.
The company claimed that it has partnered with relevant authorities to conduct the vaccination drive at its Gurugram and Halol facilities as well as its regional offices.

37 UP security guards back on duty

MANILA After a month of negotiating with the UP administation, 37 dismissed security guards have been reinstated at the University of the Philippines Diliman on April 27.
They were laid off along with more than 20 other security personnels following the turnover of UP’s new security provider Grand Meritus Security Agency Inc. on April 1. Some displaced security guards had been working for UP for as long as two decades.
In a dialogue with Alliance of Contractual Employees (ACE) UP and All UP Workers Alliance last April 16, UP Chancellor Fidel Nemenzo said that UP would negotiate with Grand Meritus for the maximum absorption of security guards into the new agency.

MANILA More than 60 security guards at the University of the Philippines Diliman face uncertainty about their employment after the turnover of UP’s new security provider Grand Meritus Security Agency Inc.
Many dismissed security guards had been working for UP for at least a decade, with some serving for as long as 23 years.
In a recent meeting with Alliance of Contractual Employees (ACE) UP and All UP Workers Alliance, UP Chancellor Fidel Nemenzo reassured that UP will negotiate with Grand Meritus Security Agency Inc. for the maximum absorption of security guards into the new agency and their immediate assignment back to duty.
