McCarthy wraps up rehabilitation of Port Houston Wharf 3 April 9, 2021, by Eldin Ganic McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. has successfully completed rehabilitation construction on Wharf 3 within Barbours Cut Container Terminal at Port Houston, located in LaPorte, Texas. The project, part of the Port’s continued effort to grow and modernize, is set to increase the facilities efficiency and capacity. The Wharf 3 project included three scopes of work. First, the rehabilitation of Wharf 3, which consisted of the reconstruction of 1,000 feet of the wharf, dredging, drilled shafts, fenders, bollards, crane rail, concrete paving, stevedore support building, electric and telecommunications. Second was construction of the electrical infrastructure, which includes 3,600 feet of underground duct bank, concrete paving, jack and bore and directional drilling, as well as electric and telecommunications.

CONCOR to build Inland Container Depot for Railways at Kadakola with Rs. 100 crore Mysore/Mysuru: The much-awaited and ambitious work on Inland Container Depot for Railways at Kadakola near Nanjangud by Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) began officially this morning. This will be the third Container Yard in Karnataka by CONCOR after Whitefield in Bengaluru and Mangaluru. The formal inauguration ceremony was held at Hotel Sandesh The Prince in Nazarbad of Mysuru instead of the actual work site as the code of conduct is in force for the forthcoming Gram Panchayat (GP) elections. After today’s inauguration, the works will begin for Rs. 100 crore project. At the hotel, a trade meet and an interactive session on the proposed Multi-Modal Logistics Park was held today.
