u.s. attorney said to those brave young women who have already come forward and to the many others who have yet to do, let me reiterate that we remain committed to standing for you and our investigation of the conduct charged in that indictment which included a conspiracy count. just yesterday, the new york federal court unsealed thousands of pages of court documents alleging new details of sexual abuse claims against epstein and several prominent associates including britain s prince andrew, former senator george mitchell and former new mexico governor bill richardson. none of them have been charged, jon. jon: but to call in the fbi and the inspector general, that suggests that somebody at the department of justice, either thinks there was wrongdoing at the prison, the jail, or that maybe this was a murder? there should be evidence to prove that either way. i mean when he is on suicide watch, there s going to be a detailed meticulous log of his psychological state, and it will point
clear this investigation is continuing. the victims need further answers. documents are being released. a lot more to learn about this. there is a lot more to learn. mike and ken, and ken if you don t mind hanging out for the next couple of hours as we await the details of the autopsy. want to bring in barbara into the conversation and i want you to pick up exactly where ken left off there. you know what happens in these sort of situations. their main suspect who ends up dead, what happens next. well when a defendant dies, the indictment against him gets disin this case miszed. with so defendant, there s no prosecution of that individual. however i thought it was important that u.s. jeffrey bermu berman said the investigation is continuing because it did contain a conspiracy count. if you read the indictment
direction as will the fbi. and so everybody now on the edge of their seats and the eyebrows as ken reported being raised no one understands how this could happen in such a high profile case. particularly with a prisoner who had exhibited suicidal tendencies in the past. and ken was saying that he was looking forward to many of the people explaining exactly what took place here in his death. ken as you know, hours after news broke of epstein s death, southern district of new york attorney assured his victims that the investigation of the conduct charged in the indictment which included conspiracy count would be ongoing. what do we believe that to mean? what s next? well, a signal that there may be other people presumed culpable here. that there may be a conspiracy and therefore, other punitive defendants, target of this investigation. and so the u.s. attorney is very
