The legislation before us today would significantly enhance our ability to curb the north Korean Nuclear program. The bill requires the president to sanction anyone who knowingly supports the north korean regime, whether by if you are furnishing materials for north Korea Weapons Program or by selling luxury goods to corrupt government officials while so many North Koreans live in poverty. The bill also provides exemptions for humanitarian organizations that work to relieve the suffering of millions of North Koreans.
