(Yankie) Creek, 88, of Wilmington, passed away at her home, with her family by her side, Thursday, April 29, 2021. She was born Oct. 8, 1932 in Xenia, the daughter of the late Colon Michael and Hazel Mae (Thornburg) Yankie. Colena had many special gifts that flowed from her heart. Her ability to spread the word of God was felt by all that she came in contact with. Her love for music showed through her eyes and her smile. When you were in her presence, you always felt loved. She attended the Wilmington Church of the Nazarene, where she was instrumental in Bible Studies.
