National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seug is pushing parliamentary diplomacy with neighboring countries, conducting talks recently with parliamentary leaders of China, Japan and Russia.
On Monday, Park had a phone call with Vyacheslav Volodin, chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and discussed the bilateral economic partnership.

National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seug had video meetings with his Chinese and Japanese counterparts on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
In the meetings with Chairman of the Standing Committee of China s National People s Congress Li Zhanshu and Japanese House of Representatives Speaker Tadamori Oshima, Park said the three neighboring countries should cooperate more during the COVID-19 pandemic and proposed a trilateral meeting between the parliamentary leaders to bolster exchanges and cooperation.
