Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, counsel to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has accused a businessman, Emeka Offor, of sponsoring a press conference which was organised by the manager of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), Vincent Dike and others to tarnish his (Ejiofor) reputation. The Anambra State Command of the Nigerian Police Force has arrested one Mr Bonny Okonkwo, a businessman and activist from Oraifite in Ekwusigo council area of the state for allegedly criticising one Chief Emeka Offor. Okonkwo, who was arrested on January 3, has been in detention at State Police Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Awka for the past 15 days without being charged to court for any offence other than that Chief Offor, a Business Mogul and Chief Executive Officer of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC felt insulted.
