BaM and Comprehensive Care Group, LLC have commenced cultivation operations in West Memphis, Arkansas near the border with Tennessee. The Body and Mind branded dispensary was the 22
nd dispensary to open in the state out of a total of up to 40 licensed dispensaries approved in Arkansas. The cultivation facility was built out in 2020 and has recently received all approvals required to commence cultivation. As Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) prepares for its Wednesday morning meeting at 9 with a local medical marijuana dispensary on the agenda, the state is reporting cannabis sales have passed a quarter of a billion dollars.
The ABC agenda includes a hearing via a video conference for Fiddler’s Green Dispensary, located at 16150 Arkansas Highway 9 in Mountain View.
According to the agenda, the hearing is for the appeal of a violation order in Sept. 2020. At that time, the dispensary was cited for
– failure to properly label medical cannabis;
– failure by operator to cooperate with ABC Enforcement;
Arkansans are spending approximately $665,000 daily on medical marijuana purchases, according to a commission spokesperson.Scott Hardin, spokesperson for the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission, says, since the first dispensary opened in mid-2019, Arkansans have spent $242 million to obtain 36,656 pounds of medical marijuana.
Locally, residents have purchased 2,592 pounds in Zone 2. Zone 2 serves Baxter, Fulton, Izard, Marion, Newton, Searcy, Stone, Van Buren and Cleburne counties.
Hardin says there are 32 dispensaries in operation throughout Arkansas, with six working toward opening for business (38 dispensaries have been licensed).
The Arkansas Department of Health reports 66,638 active patient cards.

Dispensaries in Mountain Home and Mountain View have sold a combined 3,350 pounds of medical marijuana since opening their doors.In addition, since the state’s first dispensary opened in mid-2019, Arkansans have spent $218 million to obtain 33,189 pounds of medical marijuana.
While statewide sales average approximately $665,000 a day, Dec. 31 was a record day as sales surpassed $1.22 million.

Total medical marijuana sales have surpassed 30,000 pounds in Arkansas, with over $200 million spent to obtain the cannabis, according to Scott Hardin, spokesperson for the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission.Hardin says since the first dispensary opened in May 2019, Arkansans have spent $200.7 million to obtain 30,648 pounds of medical marijuana, as of Dec. 16.There are 31 dispensaries serving patients and seven working toward launching operations.
