Reporter the coldest night of the season is upon us and sam martinez a longtime resident of the baccardo center has a message. Get into the shelters. Reporter the largest shelter is gearing up to add an extra 100 sleeping beds. The fire marshal has approved it to 350 beds, never that high before. So some people will have to sleep out in the hallway out in the open. Every available floor space including classrooms will be used if needed. I do sense that the community is much more aware of Homeless People. Homeless people have often complained of being invisible or throwaway people. Slow traffic because of blocked lanes on interstate 238. This is traffic backing up on 580. The bart commute was a mess today. High winds stopped service in several areas. Hayward fire just tweeted this photo of a large tree right on the bart tracks sitting right there in south hayward. Elsewhere bart says a 30foot log fell on to the tracks between the glen park and balboa park stations in San Francisco. Service just started up again between 24th and mission in daly city. And for part of the afternoon at least trains were not running between concord and Pleasant Hill because of wind blown debris on the tracks. And incredible pictures of damage coming into the newsroom tonight. This giant redwood tree came crashing down on to a home in north napa. Reporter good morning, crews are dealing with a dozen active incidents in the city of san jose right now. This is one of the big ones. This is in willow glen. We are right on meridien avenue near willow street. A huge tree that is inside the Los Gatos Creek ravine has fallen down. It has struck the meridien avenue bridge and taken out a couple of utility poles along with it. Power is back on in the area. But crews are trying to restore cable and internet for comcast customers. Philadelphia police needed, since they matched his dna, in a national database. We talk with the woman who lived near palin not too far from where at tax took place. Now to hear it this is kind of a shock. Reporter police say that palin was married with children during these alleged attacks, and divorce. Palin is now behind bars waiting for a preliminary hearing. Reporter it is just one clip have of series of posts made by five twoyear old Joseph Pacini where he threatens to kill police but the the last video was posted minutes before he was shot and killed in direction he he will hill tuesday afternoon. Police pulled him over and said pacini tried to plow them down with his car. He puts the car in reverse. He runs in the the Police Chiefs car from clifton and almost struck several officers. The police then opened fire on the vehicle. Reporter Haverford Police had an arrest warrant for the suspect because of threats pacini made begins one of its detectives. Officers went to pacinis Clifton Heights home on tuesday and followed him as he drove to drexel hill where police boxed him in and shooting unfolded. He apparently used his vehicle as a weapon.
