Reporter days later, santa cruz are dealing with broken hearts and bullet holes. I never thought id be pulling a bullet out of one of our vehicles. Detectives literally hit close to home, their death. This man spoke to them minutes governor goulet opened fire. Connections to the case seem to have brought the community closer together; with many stopping by to bring flowers. To see the two die, its just two tragic for me. It just shouldnt have taken place at all and we wanted to pay our respects and let them know that they did a wonderful job and were going to miss them. The Santa Cruz Police chief said he is grateful. His officers spent the last two days with grief counselors leaving patrolling to the california highway patrol. Beyond that, i dont have a lot of investigation but i would ask the community when you see our officers patrolling our streets tomorrow, please provide them with all the love and support that you can.
