We provide Free Immigration Services to courageous women and children who have suffered genderbased violence. I was the director of the antitrafficking and i want to tell you a story about my client, well call him adam. He is from indonesia, grew up in poverty. He was recruited to work as a seaman. They promised him good wages. They arranged his transportation and documentation from indonesia where he boarded a large fishing boat. Out in the middle of the sea, he was transferred to two other boats against his will and in violation of his contract. On the last boat he worked on, life was a nightmare. He worked under terrible labor conditions, upwards of 20 hours a day. The captain denied him sufficient food, threatened him and physically assaulted him if he did not work. Human trafficking has a range of activities. He was a victim of labor trafficking. It was docked here in San Fran
