Nature, mclaren is what San Francisco looked like and it reflects our natural habitat. I think one of the main challenges of mclaren park is really its circulation. By that we mean the safe and predictable movement of people, dogs, children, cars, bikes and other ways of transportation. And yet to be developed across the park and thats one of the things that has most been lacking in mclaren, certainly since ive been working in recreation and Park Department. That a clear set of policies and a real model for how to accommodate all the users and their Movement Across the park has been one of the most fundamental challenges. Because while were moving people across the park and accommodate and balance, were also very much trying to protect the habitat and the natural features that make mclaren such an attractive place to go to, to visit.
