Oshawa City Council recently approved a new community garden which will be located at the South Field of the Oshawa Executive Airport. A Field Community Garden Committee will be formed to operate the garden on a volunteer basis.

They currently have 127 raised beds available in seven different locations in Belleville and they have one location in Frankford as well. Gardens are currently located at Ponton Park (251 Dundas St. West), West Hill (41 Octavia St.) and Bayview Heights (75 Bay Dr.).
