Youre looking at an intense hurricane, category 4 status. Last report, the winds over 130 miles an hour. And the next Hurricane Hunter aircraft that goes into the storms is due in shortly. I bet theyll find this Even Stronger than that. Just that size of the eye, very, very tiny, right in here, and the darker oranges to red colors, thats the deep convection, the strong thunderstorms wrapping around the center, the tall tops of the clouds producing rain. They are getting pummelled. Its only moving to the southwest at 6 miles an hour. Eventually it will make a northward turn. Right now it ps s it stays a category 4 as it makes the turn. Well see if thats happening. Then it starts to weaken slowly. Thats not until saturday at it gets east of North Carolina down to a category 2 at that point. Watch the trend as it comes northward.
