They obtained the search warrant in coordination with the special counsels office after receiving a referral from Robert Muellers team. A payment cohen arranged to Stormy Daniels is only one of many topics being investigated. Cohen is under federal investigation for possible bank fraud, wire fraud and Campaign Finance violations according to three people with knowledge of the case.
