Reporter joint base andrews went into lockdown on reports of an active shooter on site. First responders rushed to the scene, thought to be unfolding at the bases medical facility. Thats when the situation got confusing. We havent heard reports of additional shots being fired or actually if any shots were fired. Reporter it turned out the base had a drill scheduled for this morning. A Training Exercise for dealing with an active shooter situation. For more than an hour, responders evacuated the facility trying to find out whether there was a real situation or whether someone had mistaken the drill for an actual emergency.
