I am the founder of the Cold War Museum at vint hill, virginia, about 45 miles west of washington, d. C. I founded the Cold War Museum in 1996 to honor cold war veterans, preserve cold war history and educate future generations about the time period. What i realized when i was giving lectures to Highschool Students in the area, 19 times out of 10, the students wouldnt know anything about the cold war or the u2 incident.
